GTFO

Post by Hardtack » Sat Dec 18, 2010 5:59 pm

Not a huge fan of mods but having tons of success with this small one.

Only purpose is to provide an audible alert when standing in something you shouldn't be. Really great for tank and melee dps as watching the ground (or even seeing the ground) isn't always a viable option.

In certain situations like the Valiona phase of Drahga Shadowburner you will begin getting a warning before aoe damage occurs however this pre-damage warning is not a constant.

Oh, that is so many layers of awesome. And I wish they gave you a complimentary clap on the back when you installed it.

Does this supplement or overlap with Deadly Boss Mods? DBM is a de facto standard in the guild (i.e. there have been times when it has been required for our raiding team) and it does give some warnings about hazards and upcoming boss abilities.

Excellent name, and love an audible alert to help.

@Aenaes: Frankly, I as long as it didn't cancel out any DBM functionality I wouldn't care. I would actually welcome up to and including SIX warning bells and whistles for me to break out of my blinders and GTFO. I'm not kidding.

Ok, that doesn't answer my question.

Hardtack (or someone who actually has some experience running both GTFO and DBM in an instance run), do we know if they work together?

I have no clue if GTFO works with DBM. I can find no info on curseboards regarding this.

As a sidenote having play tested this pretty extensively now (i've used it as a tank in every cata heroic and 10man Baradin's Hold) the audible warning works for EVERY aoe effect EXCEPT for the drake's persistant breath cleave that is called by the 2 patrolling wyrmcallers in Grim Batol (you'd recognize it as the small patch of shadowy goo on the ground). I have no idea why it doesn't register but it doesn't.
